ABOUT US

Meet Lydia And Jon

Lydia and Jon are both entertainment industry lifers, having spent decades in Los Angeles and Seattle (and a brief stint by Jon in NYC). In 2016, we picked up and moved across the country with our infant son in search of a simpler life away from the big city. A lifelong record collector, Jon was informed by the movers that we were essentially paying to have his massive record collection shipped across the country; the rest of our belongings were “negligible.”

A house in the family brought us to Tarboro, NC, a small town a few hours east of Lydia’s hometown. We instantly saw so much potential on Main Street, what with its inherent charm, history, and so many empty retail spaces available. Jon always worked in record sales, so opening his own record shop was not only a personal dream but a natural evolution.

We are both avid vintage collectors, which led us to carry vintage housewares and clothing in the shop. Trust us, Lydia had been to enough record stores with Jon to know that sometimes it can be a bit boring if you’re the partner of a record-obsessed dude when he’s crate-digging!

Therefore, we set out to offer a little something for everyone, and, ultimately, we just sell what we love! We truly believe that when you shop vintage, not only can you appreciate its inherent uniqueness but you’re also taking an intentional step to reduce your carbon footprint.

At its heart, Country Feedback is more than just a shop; it’s an extension of ourselves and a creative outlet for both of us that allows us to utilize our artistic and musical backgrounds. Whether we’re open for casual shopping, hosting a family sing-along for the little ones, providing a venue for live music, or offering an evening yoga class, ours is a safe space where all are welcome, regardless of age, gender, or race.
